A 49-year-old Ruspidge man who flouted the law by entering a Cinderford property which had been placed out of bounds under anti social behaviour legislation has been fined £40.
Richard Ellis, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to entering the address in Cinderford, in contravention of the order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act.
The property had been closed by the order four days before Ellis went into it.
As well as the fine, the magistrates ordered him to pay £40 costs and a £16 surcharge.
However, the costs figure was set aside after the justices deemed that detaining him for the rest of the day until the court rose would cover that amount.
