A 33-year-old Cinderford man is to stand trial in the New Year on a charge of having a knife with him in a public place in the town.

Grant Davies, of Teagues Way, Cinderford, is alleged to have had the kitchen knife in his possession in Crucible Way on 30th May 2026.

Cheltenham Magistrates’ fixed a trial date of 15th March 2027 but told Davies that, ahead of that date, there will be a case management hearing on 1st February.

The trial itself is listed to last three and a half hours.

Davies was granted bail on condition he does not contact anyone on a list of ten people whose names were specified by the court.
