A 39-year-old Drybrook man has been banned from driving for more than four years after he admitted being at the wheel with an illegal level of cannabis in his blood.

James Gardner, of Sunnymeade Close, Drybrook, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to driving a BMW in Drybrook High Street on 10th January last year when he had excess Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (the primary psychoactive chemical of cannabis) in his bloodstream.

He was banned from driving for 49 months, fined £162 and ordered to pay £450 costs and a £65 surcharge.
