MAGISTRATES have banned a Cinderford man from drinking alcohol for six months and do 70 hours unpaid work for assaulting a woman.
Lee Dunton, aged 52 of Victoria Street, Cinderford, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to assaulting the woman by beating in Cinderford on May 10 this year.
The magistrates imposed a 180 day alcohol abstinence order, 70 hours of unpaid work, up to 10 days of rehabilitation activities and ordered him to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £180.
