FORMER Forest of Dean club athlete Caroline Jones is the world aquathlon champion in her age-group.
The former world champion triathlete, who teaches PE at Haberdashers' School in Monmouth, is a working mum who is usually training before most people are out of bed.
The World Aquathlon Championships consists of a 1km swim followed by a 5km run, with the transition between the two disciplines forming a vital part of the event.
The competition took place in Hyde Park, the scene of Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee's stunning performances in the Olympic Games just 13 months ago.
Caroline, whose family hails from Milkwall, won the National Championships in August.
