WARM sunshine made this year's Forest of Dean Spring Half Marathon one to savour.

It was certainly a far cry from the snow and ice of last March's event.

With more than 1,700 starters, the race proved as popular as ever and there were some fast times - with James Rogers triumphing in 1:12.58.

The fastest woman was Londoner Ella Waldman in 1:25.01.
