T was a tough week for Ruardean Hill Rangers, who lost out in two County Cup finals.

Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves went down 3-0 to FC Lakeside in the final of the County Intermediate North Cup at Harrow Hill FC.

From the start, Lakeside looked like a team who could compete at a higher level.

Only some resolute defending and a couple of fine stops from keeper Martin Coleman kept it at 0-0 at the break.

In the second half Lakeside found another gear and Rangers were always up against it, but keeper Coleman and Jack Meek stood out for the Foresters.

Ruardean Hill Rangers saw their five month unbeaten run come to an end in the final of the County Senior Amateur Cup Final at Slimbridge FC.

They lost 5-0 to Minsterworth.
