LAUREN Richards produced two personal best performances in the under-17s shot to finish sixth at the British Championships in Sheffield.

In a high quality competition the top seven athletes all delivered lifetime bests.

Lauren opened the first round with a PB of 11m 30cm to move into fourth position. Her next two throws were a foul and 10m 87cm.

Her fourth round throw was another PB of 11m 45cm.

To crown an excellent indoor season, the Welsh under-17s and South West England under-17s champ received a call up to the Wales under-20s team.
