COACH Anthony O'Riordan will take charge of Drybrook' s first-team for the last time this Saturday, in the rearranged Senior Vase home tie with Wells (2pm).
The match was postponed last week due to a frozen pitch.
O'Riordan is moving back to Essex to take up a new teaching job.
Drybrook haven't wasted much time in naming current first XV player Frazer McArdell as O'Riordan's replacement.
Second-row McArdell has been a big hit at The Mannings since joining them last season.
It's hardly surprising considering his rugby pedigree, which saw him play at an extremely high level until injuries limited his progress.
Frazer said: "Before my three year injury struggle – consisting of three ACL reconstructions and numerous cartilage and bone grafts on my right knee – I was fortunate enough to play for Scotland under-18s, 19s and 20s. I captained the Scotland under-18s and also played Premiership A team rugby for Gloucester."
Frazer captained Hartpury College's first XV and is a British Universities Championship (BUSA) winner. He led his college team out in a Twickenham final.
He said: "Joining Drybrook allowed me to start playing again after two-and-a-half years out.
"However, due to a recurrence of my knee injury I have taken on the coaching job.
"With the squad of players here and the backing of such a fantastic club, committee and supporters, I hope to lead this club to great things."
Frazer recently graduated with a masters degree in coaching science from Hartpury College.
He now works as a lecturer in sport and is coach of Hartpury Rugby Academy's second XV.
