Glyn Bayley and Jon Green each took three wickets as Gloucestershire Cricket League Division 6A leaders Huntley cruised to victory at bottom side Parkend.

Huntley needed just shy of 23 of their 40 overs as they chased down a target of 139 for a nine wicket victory.

Robbie Jones was first to go, caught by Tom Mann off Jason Saunders with the score on 18.

Saunders claimed a second when he had skipper Tom Tremnett leg before for 34-2.

Bayley’s first was Ryan Mann who was trapped leg before early in the 16th only for replacement Henry Blunt to finish the set with three fours.

Mann made 20 with four fours and Parkend were 63-3.

Blunt and Luke Aldridge made 43 for the fourth wicket with Aldridge caught by James Hall off Green.

Joseph Aldridge was caught by Saunders off Green for 122-5 which prompted a collapse as the last five wickets go for 16 runs.

The following over, the 30th, saw Wade Ridsdale claim two wickets.

Ridsdale bowled Blunt with the second ball of the over.

Blunt was Parkend’s top scorer with 39 off 21 balls including five fours and two maximums.

Two balls later Tom Jones was caught Bayley for 123-7.

Harrison Vickery took a catch off Green for 124-8 and a double wicket maiden for Bayley ended the innings.

Huntley were 91 without loss in the 16th when Ridsdale retired not out after hitting the last of five fours in an innings of 32.

Richard Bowman had hit 58 off 59 balls including nine fours and a six when he was bowled by Jake Paterson with the visitors on 109.

Vickery and skipper Bayley saw them home with 19 and 15 respectively with each hitting three boundaries.
