LYDNEY Town Reserves beat County League opposition Hardwicke to set up a local derby in the quarter-final of the Senior Amateur Cup.
The Gloucestershire Northern Senior Division One side came away from Hardwicke 1-3 winners with goals from Joel Morse, Sam Wines and Derry Paloma.
They will face Broadwell at the County League side’s ground a week Saturday (February 11) with a 2pm kick-off.
Lydney Town A also had a cup win, comprehensively beating a team from a division above them.
The North Gloucestershire Division One side put eight past Premier Division Howle Hill at Lydney Rec in the J O Roberts Cup.
Luke Underwood and Jacob English both scored twice with the others coming from Callum Miller, Tony Smith, James Roberts and Ollie Bynon.
Ben Fletcher scored a consolation for Hill.
Lydney’s senior side needed a stoppage time equaliser in what was only their second game since Christmas.
They dominated the Hellenic Premer match at Chipping Sodbury with Lewis Thompson scoring.
