LYDNEY Rugby Club honoured one of its favourite sons, Gordon Sargent, on Saturday, by naming one of its stands after the former England and Gloucester great.
Sargent died unexpectedly earlier this year, aged just 63.
Club chairman John Nelmes said: "We wanted to remember Gordon in some way because he was deeply involved with this club, as was his wife Anne.
"Even when he was playing for Gloucester he was always involved with Lydney. He was a great clubman."
