THE Wyedean Stages returns on Saturday with last year’s local boy done good looking for a repeat performance.
Broadwell’s Jack Walby was the co-driver for Josh Moffat as they won last year’s new-look competition.
And this year, Walby joins fellow Forest of Dean MC member Oliver Bennett in their Subaru Impreza.
The event is based at Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean and will see drivers take on 40 stage miles and 65 road miles across four stages.
The first car will leave Mitcheldean at around 9.30am on Saturday November 11.
Other local drivers taking part include Nick Elliott, Bob Morgan with Adie Williams in their Impreza, Bob’s son Jason, Nigel Drew and Pauline Nash all in their Imprezas.
Husband and wife team Nigel and Karen Jenkins will compete in their Vauxhall Nova, while Josh Collins races in an Opel Manta.
Jason Gardner is in the Ford RS 1800 while Spencer Price tackles the course alongside co-driver John Price in the M Sport Freelander.
Nigel Booley with Dave Catto are in their Ford Escort RS, while Michael Truman and Leanne Harris are in the Ford Escort Mk II.
Rich Cole is joined by Matthew Nicholas in a similar car, while Geoff Phelps and Pete Wilson are in the Ford Escort RS 2000.
James Dunkley and Dan Sayce are in the Vauxhall Corsa, while Ross & District’s Eric Davis and Russell Joseph will compete in the Mini Clubman.
Spectators can view the race in four different locations, with car parks at New Fancy View, Mallard’s Pike, Marian’s Inclosure and Saw Mills near Berry Hill.
Further information for spectators is available and recommended to be viewed at wyedeanstages.co.uk.
