MANY clubs claim to cater for people of all ages, but Berry Hill might just have the oldest and youngest vice-presidents in the land!

Vice-president Cath Harris, 97, has been involved with the club since the early 1960s, when the likes of Wilf Baldwin and Horace Wilkes helped the club move its HQ from the Globe Inn to the pavilion at the Recreation Ground on Lakers Road.

Cath was also part of the club's first ever ladies' committee, who cooked meals for the players on Saturday evenings in a very small kitchen with only basic facilities.

As the club grew, and more players came along, the vice-presidents membership was introduced by John Baldwin to raise funds.

Cath was one of the founder members.

At just 11 months old, Miss Rosie Pickett is certainly the youngest vice-president in Berry Hill's history.

She is the daughter of Roger and Cath Pickett, who both played for Berry Hill teams.

Roger, better known around rugby circles by his nickname Lester, still turns out for the Wappers.
