Roger Hall and Kevin Greening lost 3&2 followed by a 2&1 reversal for Phil Gwynne and Ian Lovering.

Paul Morphey and Adrian Vines won 2&1 and Dave Howard and Pete Walters won 3&1 to level the scores.

Mike Steward and Richard Medlin halved but the last three matches ended in 3&2 defeats for Gerald Woodley and Neil James, Mark Graham and Graham Wallace and Mark Wood and Glyn Earle for to leave the final score of : Chipping Sodbury 5.5-2.5 Forest Hills.

Martin Scholes won Division One with 37 points. Simon Ruffley was second with 36 on countback from Gary Davies with Gary Reddan fourth on 35.

The highest scores were in Division Two where,Glyn Earle’s 44 saw him with the division and the Klein Cup.

He will represent the club in the county final in September.

Colin Baird was leader in the clubhouse for a long period with 42.

Barry Klein and Pete Walters both scored 40.

Jacob Turner won Division One of the Saturday Stableford with a five under 41.

Countback was needed in Division Two, which again featured the highest scores, to separate Trevor Baker and Steven East on 42.

John Humphries was third on 40 and Pete Walters fourth with 39 with Josh Goode sinking an eagle two on the 12th.

The B team travelled to Monmouth for the Wye Challenge with the score 3-3 from the first leg.

Home captain Rob Pilot and John Davies beat Steve Jones and Gary Davies 6&4.

Monmouth’s Robbie Williams and Rich Mills edged out Dave Cole and Geoff Norris 3&2, in a very topsy turvy match.

Brad Hudson and Colin Hunt lost 3&2 against the visitors’ Tony Laws and Jeremy McCulloch.

Ralf Young and Alan Cairns halved against Josh Mathews and Steve Graham while he penultimate tussle saw the home team win as Nick Hollingbee and Tom Collinson defeated Simon Killen and Steve Goode 4&2.

Bruce Kennedy and Dave Hudson lost 3&2 to Kieran Fullwood and Simon Ruffley to leave the final score of Monmouth 3.5-2.5 Forest Hills, and overall Monmouth. 6.5-5.5 Forest Hills.

James Holland won Division One of the August Medal with 76-9-67 with Josh Goode second on nett 68 and Ashley James third on 73.

Darren Williams’s 78-14-64 in Division Two was possibly the round of the summer so far, six clear of John Binnie’s nett 70 and Steve Jones on 71.

Shane Burford won Division Three with 89-16-73 with Josh Goode the lowest gross with a one under 71.

The team away day saw 42 seniors travel to the South Herefordshire club at Upton Bishop.

The nearest the pin prizes were claimed by, Adrian Vines on the third, Chas Challis on the seventh, Richard Keeble on the 14th, and Mark Hyde on the 17th.

Jim Fairweather, Joe Liddington and Roger Hall, to claimed the Team Away Day Trophy with a 22 under 94 ahead of Steve Hammond, Nick Jacobs and John Humphries on 77 and Clive Winward, Pete Walters and Richard Medlin on 75.
