MARK Blandford took home the big prize at the Forest’s Monday Night League Finals Night.

Blandford, of Tutfhorn Inn A, won the Division One Singles Knockout at Milwall AFC on Monday and scored the night’s only 180 against Dave Russell.

Russell, who plays for Tufthorn B, didn’t go home empty handed however as he was part of the winning side of the Team Knockout earlier in the night.

Blandford checked out on 25, 32 and then 8 to win three legs to nil.

The evening began with the Captains & Licensees final, which was won 3-0 by Sam Brough of Bream Sports Club.

Brough defeated St Briavels Sports Club’s Mac Vaughan.

The Blind Pairs Knockout was given as a walkover, after Greg Prosser of the Rising Sun was unable to take part as he is currently in Australia.

Partner Dan Halford of the Gamekeeper Inn in Berry Hill therefore conceded the tie to Blandford and Darren McCoy of the New Inn Shortstanding.

Russell, along with Jame Franklin, Steve Tyler, Roger Scrivens, Simon Hartley and Phil Howard, led a clean sweep to claim the Team Knockout against St Briavels.

The 8-0 triumph saw them complete a double having already won the league.

Milkwall AFC won the Division Two Doubles, as Lee Miles and Mark Squire defeated the Gamekeeper’s Eric McShane and Kevin Giles 3-0.

The Division One Doubles was won by Scrivens and Franklin, who edged a tight affair 3-2 against Drinkwater and Russell.

The night’s penultimate match, the Division Two Singles, saw Steve Ford of Milkwall AFC defeat Royal Springs A’s Ian Morgan 3-2.

Ford took the first leg, before Morgan won the following two.

But Ford struck back to check out on 20 and then 16 to win the match.
