CINDERFORD Town have four new Welsh players to their squad ahead of their first season in the Southern League Premier Division.
Among those is forward Simon Prangley, a former fan favourite.
Town have signed the Cardiff University student to bolster their attacking options, while also bringing in Louis Feeley, Lee Hartshorn and Ben Fletcher.
Feeley is a creative wide midfielder who has previously played for Hereford, Newport County, Weston Super Mare, Clevedon Town, Chepstow and Barry Town.
Hartshorn is a central defender who has played for Llanelli, Afan Lido, Chepstow, Aberbargoed and Merthyr Town and will be vying for a place alongside club captain Josh Nelmes.
Ben Fletcher will replace outgoing Alex Harris as the club’s goalkeeper and has previously played for Chepstow, Llanwern and Porth.
25-year-old Prangley plays for the University’s futsal team and has also represented Wales in the UEFA Futsal tournament.
“It’s great to be back at this great club, working with such good people, from the management, coaching staff, down to the fans and all the people involved with the club,” he said in a statement.
“The chance for me to come back here and play under the likes of Chris Burns and Allan Gough is amazing.
“There is a good buzz around the lads after everything that’s gone on since last season’s title winning heroics.
“Now us as individuals and more so as team mates have to give 110 per cent to fight for the club to stay in this environment and maybe kick on higher over the next couple of years.”
Chairman Stuart Tait was delighted to confirm the signing of all four players.
“The squad is really starting to take shape after a difficult summer and can’t wait to see all four players in action,” he said.
“We’re confident that we will have a competitive side going into what will be the highest league the club has ever played in during its history.”
