NEWENT Town AFC have confirmed their pre-season friendly fixtures as they prepare to kick off the 2025 26 campaign.

The Daffs are set for a challenging and varied programme of games against a mix of local rivals and competitive sides across Gloucestershire and beyond.

The season build up begins in three weeks with a home game against Worcester City Reserves who finished seventh in the Hereford Premier Division last season. This fixture continues a strong connection between the two clubs.

Next up is a trip to Westfields FC a Hellenic Premier Division side who ended last season in 13th place and will be under new management for this clash promising a tough test for Newent’s squad.

The third friendly sees the Daffs host Slimbridge AFC an established Hellenic Premier team that finished 16th last term followed by a visit from Tuffley Rovers who finished 11th in Step 5 last season completing the club’s Hellenic Premier tests.

One fixture stands out with special significance as it is the first annual memorial game in honour of the late Paul Wilband.

Newent will travel to Ledbury Town’s New Street ground for this important match against a club that finished 10th in the HFD Premier League last season. The game promises to be a poignant occasion for both clubs and their supporters.

Closing out the pre-season will be two more Northern Senior Division One contests a home game against Bredon AFC who placed 11th last season and a final test away at Tredworth Tigers who finished 12th. Both fixtures are expected to be highly competitive encounters.
