VINEY St Swithins have announced a new management team who will be tasked with restoring the club to their former Northern Senior glory.
Ex-Cheltenham Town man Ian James has taken on the mantle at North Gloucestershire League Division One side Viney.
The club’s new first team manager will be assisted by Darren Brown.
James is UEFA B qualified and also played for Cheltenham Saracens and Moreton Town.
He managed Huntley during their purple patch that saw them promoted to the Northern Senior League, as well as at Newent Town.
Brown played for Skenfrith, Abergavenny and Weston-under-Penyard before playing for Bromyard in the West Midlands League.
“We are delighted to welcome Ian James and Darren Brown to the club,” said Viney secretary Simon James.
“The club have put together some ambitious plans to progress and we see the appointment of a experienced, competent and dedicated management team as hugely important.
“Both share our vision to return the club to senior football and have already structured pre-season and begun sourcing new players who they believe can add to the squad."
