THE Forests’ two top teams have learned their fates for next season’s early FA Cup qualifiers.

Southern League West side Cinderford Town could have another county derby in the Preliminary Round, as they will play the winners of Tuffley Rovers and Spartan South Midlands Premier side Colney Heath away on Saturday August 25.

Lydney Town enter the competition a stage before Cinderford at the Extra Preliminary Round and must travel to Combined Counties Premier team AFC Hayes on Saturday August 11.

If successful, the Hellenic League Premier Division outfit will then tackle the winners of Leighton Town or Royal Wootton Bassett Town away.

Lydney will earn £750 even if they lose against Hayes, but will receive £2,250 in prize money with a win.

Cinderford are guaranteed £960 with a loss to either Tuffley or Colney Heath, but a win for them will be worth £2,890 – as it will be to Lydney if they defeat Hayes.

• CINDERFORD Town will welcome one of fellow Southern League West sides Evesham United or AFC Moneyfields in the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy on Saturday October 13.

The winners will receive £3,000 and a place in the First Round Qualifying on Saturday October 27.

• LYDNEY will tackle Surrey side Abbey Rangers in the FA Vase First Round Qualifying at home on Saturday September 1.

Prize money for a win is £550 whereas a loss will see the Swan Road side pick up £175.

The winners travel to Chipping Sodbury Town on Saturday September 15 with £725 at stake.
