CINDERFORD Town’s trying season continues to take a twist even when the football has ceased for the summer.

After a bizarre play-off scenario that saw Cinderford Town compete against Winchester City over two legs, despite being ruled out of promotion from the Southern League Division One South due to a strange new FA ruling, the Foresters have been handed a further set-back.

This time it has come from their local association.

The Gloucestershire FA have cancelled the 2018/19 Senior Challenge Cup, of which Town were semi-finalists, denying them a chance of dethroning current holders Bristol City.
