CINDERFORD director of rugby Andy Deacon says he was pleased with his injury-plagued side's performance at Fylde in National League One on Saturday.

Missing key players such as Adam Balding, Chris Bundy and leading try-scorer Nev Codlin, Cinderford lost 35-29 in Lancashire.

"To get two points is great," he said.

"The work rate was particularly pleasing. Our line-outs were exceptional and we were good at the scrum."
