JACK Tyrer scored 112 at a shade under a run a ball as Corse & Staunton beat Charlton Kings by 168 runs.
Tyrer faced 113 balls in an innings of more than two hours in the West of England Premier League Gloucestershire division match.
Matt Brown then ripped through the visiting batsmen, taking six wickets as Charlton Kings were bowled out for 135.
Corse were put into bat and posted a mammoth total of 303-9.
Openers William Turner and James Dallaway put on 54 for the first wicket.
They got off to a rapid start with 18 runs in the first three overs including a six and a four for Dallaway and a four for Turner.
Dallaway followed up with two fours off successive balls in the fifth over.
Corse’s 50 came up in the eighth over and included another three boundaries from Dallaway.
Turner added another four in the next over but was then caught on 12 for 54-1.
Dallaway went for 42 off 45 balls in the 16th over to make it 79-2.
The third wicket fell in the next over when Ben Morton was caught for 81-3.
Tyrer and Cox then put on 61 for the fourth wicket with Cox hitting three fours in the 21st
Cox went leg before with the first ball of the 30th over for 46 to make it 142-4.
Harrison Tegg scored 22 off 14 balls before he was caught for 185-5.
Tyrer and Brown added another 91 before Brown was bowled for 27 off 25 balls for 276-6.
His replacement, Bertie Wyatt, went to the next ball.
Tyrer was the last wicket to fall, bowled with the penultimate ball of the innings.
His 113 included 11 fours and four maximums.
