CINDERFORD winger Nev Codlin says the players have to start taking more responsibility on the field to help the club get out of a losing rut.

Codlin told The Forester: "The coaches have taken a lot of criticism for the players not performing.

"It's very tough at the moment but if you look at the teams doing well, they've got big packs and they just do the basics."

Cinderford were outplayed at Wharfedale last Saturday, going down by 40-10, and Codlin says the coaches were understandably unhappy with the performance.
