FORMER Lydney, Glamorgan and England cricketer Steve James has admitted that there were 'huge tracts of his playing career that he did not enjoy'.

James learnt his cricket on Lydney Recreation Ground.

Now, a respected sports journalist for The Telegraph, he penned a column this week on Jonathan Trott's departure from England's Ashes tour of Australia with a stress-related illness.
