CINDERFORD centre Jack Adams hopes his involvement with the England Counties XV over the past two seasons will be a springboard for a return to higher level rugby.

Adams, 27, has already played Premiership rugby for Gloucester and he also had stints with Bristol and Moseley in the Championship before he became a part-time rugby player last season when he joined Cinderford in National League One.

But Adams, a former England Sevens international, still has ambitions to return to step up a level or two and hopes that his performances for the England Counties XV, which included a try in Friday's 23-22 defeat by Ireland Club XV in Darlington, will have been noted.
