FORMER Gloucester centre Jack Adams has joined Cinderford from Moseley.

The 25-year-old made his Gloucester first-team debut against Sale Sharks at Kingsholm in 2005 and went on to play 17 times for the Cherry & Whites.

Dually registered with Gloucester and Moseley until 2009, he had two years with Championship Bristol before rejoining Moseley in 2011. Jack also played for the England Sevens team in 2008.

He said: "Being local, I was really pleased to enter into discussions with Cinderford and I'm excited to have agreed terms. I know the coaches really well and many of the players.

"I'm looking forward to being part of a tight-knit squad.

"Cinderford will allow me to continue playing rugby at a seriously high level and I was motivated by their ambition and desire to not stand still."

Fly-half Mark Davies is also returning to Cinderford after leaving Bristol.

Mark played for Cinderford on loan a couple of years ago and also had a successful spell at Lydney.

The former St Peter's School pupil – who was a member of Gloucester's Premiership squad five years ago – is still only 23.

He said: "Cinderford had a great season last year and have shown they can compete at the highest levels within the league. I hope I can add to their continued success."

Director of rugby Andy Deacon added: "Jack and Mark strengthen the depth and breadth of our backs. Our aim is to score more tries and both new guys will help us to achieve this with their style of play and skill sets."

Cinderford begin pre-season training on July 3.
