Letter to the Editor: People all over the UK are facing hardship due to rising costs from all directions....food, utilities, clothes and so on.
The Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party claims people can feed their children on a few pence per day. “30p Lee” Anderson, MP also claims there is no need for food banks. The fault lies with people not being able to cook for themselves.
Strange, so many Tories always seem to blame the people facing the most hardship and the ones least able to defend themselves.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Shell has made the highest profits in its history!
Other companies show similar results. The top five making a combined total profit of around £200 billion.
Here’s a little statistic I’d like politicians and voters to consider over the coming months.
Maybe Mark Harper, MP will as he sits around the same table as “30p Lee”?
Were one to earn £40,000 per day since the first Christmas, when Jesus was born, one would still not amass the money Shell has made in profits.
