PROXY WARS

The war in Ukraine, the attacks on Iran and Gaza and the conflict brewing against China are caused by ‘western’ powers determined to maintain their global dominance.

In Ukraine, defeat is looming for ‘the west’. It has been used as a proxy army to ‘weaken’ Russia, provoke the Russian people to rebellion and break its alliance with China. It has failed and so has resorted to ‘asymmetric warfare’ (terrorism) inside of Russia.

The bombing of civilian targets in the hope of creating social unrest is deliberate. Attacking Russian nuclear attack aircraft that must stay in the open in order that they can be observed by US satellites in line with the remaining nuclear treaty agreements, although a legitimate military target, is another provocation. Such actions are PR stunts to show Ukraine can still fight and therefore merit ongoing military support.

Britain is cutting services and has a major budget crisis while at the same time has given £13billion in aid to Ukraine and promises billions more. There is virtually no discussion about this. If you think that Britain is doing this for humanitarian reasons, then look at what it does about Gaza. Only mild criticism about the slaughter there.

When Israel assassinates whole families in Iran without warning on the spurious basis of Iran possessing a nuclear weapon, instead of condemning it as a clear breach of international law, Britain responds that ‘Israel has a right to defend itself’. The G7 countries issue a statement not supporting the victim but supporting Israel - the perpetrator. How do you think this looks to the non-western world?

The unprovoked attack by the US on alleged Iranian nuclear sites while negotiations were still going on will inevitably escalate the conflict in the Middle East. Is it not amazing that Israel, which possesses nuclear warheads and refuses to allow nuclear inspectors in to look at them, can get away with accusing a neighbour of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons to defend itself!! This is gaslighting on steroids! Trump behaves like a mafia godfather!

How are these conflicts connected?

The Conservative Leader in the House of Commons said the quiet part out loud and broke the cross-party consensus on Foreign Policy. Criticising Prime Minister Starmer for not supporting Israel’s attack on Iran strongly enough and for daring to mildly rebuke Israel for the slaughter in Gaza she linked these conflicts with the war in Ukraine together as a battle for western ‘survival’. ‘The west’ is declining and like any declining power is lashing out and resorting to violence. Britain is loath to criticise Israel because it is an ally in the fight and because the war against Iran is a regional conflict in the context of this global conflict.

It is a complete betrayal of the ‘values’ and international legal structures that Britain was instrumental in creating after the last war and could easily escalate into global war.
