CARE worker Samantha Austin, who avoided jail after she 'glassed' a man whom she had accused of raping her, has failed three times to turn up to do her unpaid community work, a judge was told.
Samantha Austin, of Victoria Road, Coleford, admitted breaching the terms of her suspended sentence by missing work sessions on March 11 and 25 and April 15.
Gloucester Crown Court Judge William Hart told her she could have no complaint if he activated her 12-month suspended detention sentence and sent her straight to custody.
But he said he had decided to give her a chance to prove she is committed to completing the order and he punished her for the breach by adding an extra seven hours of unpaid work to the sentence.
The sentence was passed on Austin on January 13 this year after she admitted unlawfully wounding stonemason Philip Baker in a Coleford street on February 26 last year.
