I, LIKE Jackie Bradley, cannot understand Cinderford Town Council's love affair with national companies. Compared with Lydney, where as well as Greggs another unit at the Forest Road junction is joining the parade of restaurants and take-aways, there are a few thriving local shops. You have more than one butcher, fruit and veg shops and other local shops.
They should be treasured and not derided because of a desire to get national names into the town.
