THE people who make Coleford the best-lit town in the Dean at Christmas say they've had enough, and won't be putting up the lights this year.
The lights were due to start going up in just a couple of weeks' time.
Kim Wassell, of the Christmas Lights committee, said: "Sadly, the volunteers that put up the Coleford Christmas lights have taken the decision to no longer do the task.
"The decision has not been taken lightly as the volunteers are very committed to making Coleford the best lit-up town in the Forest.
"Over many years, the volunteers have given their time every Sunday in all winds and weather, even taking time off work for the switch-on."
