CINDERFORD go to Blue Square South outfit Eastleigh in the FA Cup this Saturday with nothing to fear, according to manager Steve Peters.

Town warmed up for the Second Qualifying Round tie with an impressive 3-0 home win over Mangotsfield.

Their opponents, fifth from bottom in Blue Square South, beat Staines Town 2-1 at home.

Peters told The Forester: "We are very much the underdogs in the cup but we'll go there with nothing to lose.

"I know Eastleigh are worried about us because they had a couple of scouts watching us against Mangotsfield.

"I know a bit about them. They are a big, direct, nasty side who will make it tough.

"We might play slightly differently but we'll enjoy it.

"Eastleigh are a proper non-league club, but our spirits are high and we don't fear anyone."

Peters was delighted with Cinderford' s victory over Mangotsfield – a win that puts them fifth in the league.

"They had a man sent off but we were well on top even before that," he said.

"Mangotsfield are always a tough side to beat, so to do it 3-0 is very satisfying."

Nick Hancock is a major doubt for the Eastleigh game because of illness, while Danny Haines starts a three match suspension.

Striker Mike Whittington, however, is fully fit again.

Peters added: "Cinderford is a very good place to be right now and I'm really enjoying it.

"Picking the team is tough because everyone on our bench can play. All I can do is be honest with the players. I won't lie to them or hide behind excuses, I'll tell them why they are or aren't playing.

"Looking at the league table, I'm more than happy with 17 points from nine games because we've played most of the top sides.

"Theoretically, some of our next games should be easier, but of course, it doesn't always work out like that."
