DRIVERS might be accused of jumping to conclusions after they claimed to have seen a kangaroo in Highnam.
In the last few days the police have received a number of calls from members of the public reporting sightings of a wallaby or kangaroo along the A40.
Now Hartpury College have admitted it was probably one of three set free as a prank two months ago on the night of the student ball.
The agricultural college took delivery of the wallabies on June 1 for their animal courses.
They managed to catch two females but the male was never recovered.
