THE vice-chairman of the Forest planning committee walked out of the latest meeting after allegedly being threatened by one of Yorkley Court's eco-farmers.

Planners were debating whether to allow 15 temporary homes to be built on the farm.

But while Frank White, a spokesman for the farmers, was talking, Coun Gethyn Davies (Con, Tidenham) claimed he had been threatened, packed up his papers and left the chamber.

He said: "I do not feel safe sat here. Have we got security on the premises?"

He explained afterwards that at a previous meeting he had been threatened when the fire alarm went off and people were forced to evacuate."
