I WAS disappointed to read in The Forester that the Cinderford Churches Together are apparently no longer involved in the new Heywood School Academy project.
As we have seen with the recent riots, parents have often been unable or unwilling to install moral values in their children. The Trinity project, which is not for a 'faith school', as has been inaccurately portrayed in some of the media, would have done this, and a lot more besides.
I would encourage any objectors to not jump to premature conclusions and to understand that the 'Christian ethos' is simply about having high expectations and a school rich in traditional Christian values.
Cinderford badly needs a mainstream school with a distinctive Christian ethos and values to attract children from all around the area.
What is now going to attract them to just another 'ordinary' school?
