A 32-year-old Berry Hill man who refused to provide a breath specimen when suspected of drink driving has been banned from the roads for three years.

Daniel Netley of Hillcrest Road, Berry Hill, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to failing to take a breath test in Gloucester on March 3 this year.

As well as the 36 months driving disqualification he was placed on an 18 month community order with rehabilitation activity requirements and ordered to pay £279 in fines, costs and surcharges.

A second charge against him of taking a VW Polo without consent from Newnham on the same date was withdrawn.
