ARTHUR Wilks advises us not to vote in the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner election, saying that David Cameron will have to sort something out if the numbers are very low.

Oh no, he won't. He will be expecting a big Conservative vote, because these are the people who will turn out. He isn't all that interested in democracy. He isn't even one human being. Just a collection of civil servants and advisers.

Although furious at yet another foolish mega waste of money, I do intend to vote. The election should never have been made political, and although I am a feminist, I don't think this is a job for a woman, so this leaves the former policeman, and let's hope he is acceptable to the Force.
