TRAIN commuters were left frustrated by a technical failure at Lydney station – as the barriers keeping pedestrians and motorists off the train lines remained lowered for over an hour last week.
"It was a major concern for us," said county councillor Alan Preest.
"Had there been an emergency we would have been in trouble. The crossing is the only access to the other side of the tracks and the harbour. The air ambulance would probably have been our only alternative."
