ONLY four months after being opened in a fanfare of publicity, Coleford’s Bells Field skatepark has been defaced by vandals.

Council staff who turned up a at the recreation area on Lord’s Hill on Monday morning it had been covered in spray paint graffiti.

Coleford Town Council Mayor, Cllr Nick Penny, sad: “It is hugely disappointing. Fortunately there is no damage to the actual structure of the skatepark but it looks very unsightly and it will have to be cleaned at a cost to the council."
