TRIBUTES have been paid to a teenager who was killed in a car crash close to Mireystock crossroads last Wednesday evening. The passenger of a green Volkswagen Lupo, named locally as Sam Villis, a 19-year-old man from Lydbrook, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries. The road was closed until 2am while officers carried out investigations. The car was travelling on the A4136 from the direction of Coleford when it left the road close to the Mireystock crossroads and collided with a tree at about 7.30pm on Wednesday June 4.
