Northern Senior League Division Two

Harrow Hill 5

Longford 2

HARROW Hill under-performed in this rearranged game but still won comfortably.

Hill started at a good pace and played some nice passing football.

Eventually, a smart move broke down a stubborn defence and Scott Morgan found the net. Eddie Weyman headed a second goal two minutes later following a scramble in the Longford box. Hill let their foot of the pedal and Longford pulled one back before half-time.

In the second period Hill gave the ball away too easily, giving Longford time and space. A defensive mix-up gifted Longford an equaliser.

This spurred Hill into life and they regained the lead with a 70th minute Scott Davies header.

Eddie Weyman won a penalty, which Paul Manns converted, then, with the clock running down, sub Jody Taylor set up Matt Boseley for Hill's fifth. Boseley netted with a smart first-time strike.

Hill manager Andy Reid said: "I was glad to get the win and the three points, but I wasn't happy with the way we gave the ball away so easily. We are missing too many chances, which may cost us in other games."
