CRAZY colours and hilarious hair was the order of the day as school pupils in the Forest raised money for Children in Need.
A wigs and wellies theme was enjoyed by both staff and pupils at Steam Mills School who wore a spectrum of hair colours and even brighter boots.
Even office manager Annabelle Stephens said she got some funny looks from children in her stripy socks and pink wellies.
"Everybody was very supportive and it was good for the children to be thinking of others less fortunate than themselves," she said.
There was a spot of colour at Littledean CofE and Forest View Primary School with children coming into school covered head to foot in dots.
Each child made a contribution and Forest View managed to raise an impressive £280.21.
Ellwood Primary School held a series of talent shows with children singing, dancing, playing guitars and doing magic tricks in the school hall.
Class teacher Judy Clements said the school had managed to raise more than £100 for charity with each child donating money to wear their own clothes for the day.
"We had some really good musicians and brave singers," she said.
"Even the little ones joined in with all their might.
"The day went really well."
Staff and children at Bo-Peeps Day Nursery in Cinderford looked like they'd just got out of bed and came dressed in their pyjamas.
Proving they weren't snoozing on the fundraising front, the little nursery managed to raise an impressive £142.50.
Nursery manager Alison Pflug said: "We raised money through selling Pudsey shortbread and smartie cookies throughout the week to parents, carers, relatives and staff – along with fun and games on the day."
English Bicknor Primary School raised £148.60, with the Early Years Class collecting 1p and 2p coins to make a money snail trail. Transition Class children raised money doing jobs at home and the Senior Class held a table sale.
