More than 300 cannabis plants have been seized from a busy industrial estate in Cinderford.

The haul of cannabis plants was found in a unit on the Forest Vale Industrial Estate.

During the raid, 365 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of at least £36,500, were found by police.

No arrests have been made as yet but inquiries continue to locate those responsible for the set-up.

Inspector Richard Boyles said: "This was a large scale cannabis factory and its discovery was due to information supplied to us by the local community, with officers acting immediately to follow up on it and obtain the warrant.

"The local community are to be congratulated for their public spirited actions and it is those actions that have prevented this drug blight reaching the streets of the Forest and wider county.

"If there is any further information that the community can pass to us I look forward to hearing it.

"When the Forest Local Policing Area officers and PCSOs are made aware of drugs activity we will take action to stop the offending gangs profiting and harming our community.

"These plants will now be destroyed."
