FOREST of Dean MP Matt Bishop is inviting residents to meet him in person and share their views at a community drop-in event being organised by the local Labour Party.

The informal sessions will take place on Saturday, March 14, giving people the chance to sit down over a cup of tea or coffee and talk directly with their MP and members of the local Labour team about the issues that matter most to them.

Two sessions are being held on the day to give residents flexibility. The morning session will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by an afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event will be held at a central Forest of Dean location, which will be confirmed to those who register.

The event is designed to be relaxed and welcoming, offering residents the opportunity to raise both local and national concerns in a face-to-face setting.

Topics can range from community issues affecting towns and villages across the Forest, through to wider policy matters being debated nationally.

The local Labour Party says the sessions are about listening to residents and ensuring their voices are heard. Party members will be on hand alongside Mr Bishop to discuss ongoing work in the area and to hear directly from constituents about their priorities.

Attendance is free, but residents are encouraged to register in advance and choose whether they would like to attend the morning or afternoon session. This will help organisers manage numbers and ensure everyone has time to speak.

Organisers say the event is open to all Forest of Dean residents, regardless of political background, and stress that no formal speeches are planned.

Anyone interested in attending can register for a free ticket online and is encouraged to drop in.
