POLICE in the Forest have made a significant dent in the supply of drugs into the district since the beginning of the year, according to the Forest Inspector.

Inspector Andrew Hodgetts said that, with the help of specialist resources, the force has sent the head of an organised crime group and two of their associates to court.

The inspector, reflecting of the police’s performance over the past three months, said: “While we are confident about the forthcoming court case in connection with drug running, our mission is now to help communities grow stronger so that other offenders have no way of filling the void.”
