ASDA'S bid to build a new store and light industrial units in Lydney goes before Forest planners next week.

If the planning application for the new 25,000 sq ft supermarket and filling station on the JD Norman/Federal Mogul site is approved on November 12, then Lydney would benefit from a cash injection as part of the legal agreements.

But the officers recommendation to the planning committee is for the whole scheme to be refused.
