RESIDENTS are preparing to fight plans for huge polytunnels to be put up in Redmarley on the farm where Adrian Prout killed and buried his wife.

Asparagus producers Cobrey Farms have put in a planning application to erect the polytunnels on the 276-acre Redhill Farm which was renamed Springfield after previous owner Prout was jailed for life.

The plans submitted to the district council also include the creation of large reservoirs near woodland where Kate Prout's body was found buried underneath a pheasant enclosure in 2011.
