DISTRICT councillor Paul McMahon says planning procedure needs to be 'more robust', claiming lack of judgment is costing the authority money.

Mr McMahon expressed concern at the number of decisions going to appeal.

He singled out the supermarket development in Cinderford for scrutiny and said that the reason this application had been taken to appeal was because the authority had not followed planning procedure.
