BARONESS Jan Royall of Blaisdon says the bedroom tax is hurting hundreds of families in the district.
The Labour leader in the House of Lords told the Forester: "The Two Rivers Housing Association has stated that some 300 tenants have requested to downsize to smaller apartments, but because of the shortage of one-bedroomed properties, only 19 have been able to move.
"The remaining tenants are slowly getting further into debt and it will not be long before eviction notices will have to be served."
